New Delhi: Union Minister Kishan Reddy sharply condemned Congress leaders for downplaying the Indian Army’s strength amid recent military engagements with Pakistan. Speaking to the media from Delhi on Friday, he strongly countered Congress remarks regarding Operation Sindoor.
Addressing the controversy surrounding Kavitha, Kishan Reddy described it as an internal family matter unrelated to public interest or governance, urging that Telangana’s people should not be distracted by such issues. He further stated that Kavitha’s dispute revolves around property and power struggles, and neither he nor the public need to engage in that debate.

Kishan Reddy also took aim at opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for their critical comments on the Army’s performance. He called it regrettable that Rahul Gandhi questioned the number of Indian Rafale jets lost in the conflict, and reminded that it was the Congress party which originally handed over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to Pakistan. He described their continued criticism as “shameful.”

Highlighting Congress’s shifting stance on Operation Sindoor, Kishan Reddy noted that while the party initially supported the military action, it later questioned why all credit was being given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He pointed out that Telangana CM Revanth Reddy held rallies celebrating the operation’s success but soon began criticizing the BJP, mirroring Rahul Gandhi’s approach.
The minister’s remarks underscore the BJP’s strong defense of India’s military efforts and criticism of the opposition’s response during heightened border tensions with Pakistan.
