The Election Commission had recently issued a notification for the election of five MLCs in AP. With only five nominations filed for the five seats, the election was declared unanimous, and certificates were handed over to the elected candidates.

Similarly, in Telangana, the MLC election for five seats also saw a unanimous outcome. Congress candidates Addanki Dayakar, Vijayashanti, and Shankar Naik, BRS candidate Dasoju Sravan, and CPI candidate Nellikanti Suryam were declared elected unopposed.
