The United States has issued a travel advisory urging its citizens to reconsider visiting Pakistan due to a heightened risk of terrorist attacks.
The advisory, released on Friday (U.S. time), warns that attacks could occur at any time and advises against travel to the India-Pakistan border regions, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces due to unpredictable militant activity. Markets, transport hubs, and security personnel are identified as possible targets.
A Level 4 warning has been issued for the Line of Control (LoC), cautioning against any travel due to the risk of militant attacks and military confrontations. The advisory also highlights the heavy security presence on both sides of the India-Pakistan border.
Additionally, the U.S. clarified that Wagah Border is the only official entry point into India from Pakistan and emphasized that travelers must secure a visa in advance, as visas are not issued at the Wagah Border.
