The strained relationship between U.S. President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk has escalated significantly, marking a stark departure from their amicable ties prior to the presidential elections. Musk, who invested billions supporting Trump’s campaign, has recently criticized the president’s policies and even hinted at forming a new political party via tweets on X.
Following Musk’s resignation from the Department of Justice, the billionaire has openly leveled sharp accusations against Trump, intensifying the public feud. In a recent development, Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, attributed the discord primarily to the Republican tax bill introduced by Trump.

Speaking at a forum in Moscow, Errol Musk explained that Elon Musk’s opposition to the tax legislation triggered his dissatisfaction and subsequent criticisms of the president. He added that Elon may not fully understand the political necessity of such bills to secure majority votes in Congress and the Senate. “Trump is the sitting president, and in this dispute, he is likely to prevail. It is not too late for both to put aside their differences and collaborate,” Errol Musk remarked.
The ongoing conflict between these influential figures continues to attract widespread attention as political and public scrutiny intensifies.
