In Telangana, the Hydra initiative’s rigorous enforcement against illegal constructions has recently targeted Tirupati Reddy, the brother of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Hydra officials issued notices to Tirupati Reddy, indicating that his residence falls within the Full Tank  Level (FTL) area. Tirupati Reddy has publicly responded to these notices.

Tirupati Reddy has made significant statements regarding the issue, suggesting that if his property is confirmed to be illegal, it should be demolished. He also offered to remove the construction materials himself if given time. According to Tirupati Reddy, although the Sherilingampally revenue authorities issued the notices, he has yet to be approached by any official.

Tirupati Reddy explained that he purchased the property in the Amar Society during the 2016-17 period and was unaware of its FTL designation. He indicated that the notices were issued based on the property being in a buffer zone according to the WALT Act. Tirupati Reddy further criticized the BRS for politicizing the matter, noting that the layout was approved in 1995.
