Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has forecast thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rains with gusty winds across several districts of Telangana for the next three days. The weather office has warned of scattered showers, accompanied by high winds, in various areas.

According to the forecast, the low-pressure system, or “Droni,” will bring storms to districts such as Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jagitial, and Rajanna Sircilla on Tuesday. These areas are under a Yellow Alert, indicating isolated rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning.

On Wednesday, the weather department predicts heavier rainfall, with winds expected to reach speeds of 40 to 50 km/h. The districts of Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Mahbubnagar, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal have been placed under an Orange Alert due to the likelihood of strong winds and heavy rainfall. Additionally, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy are also expected to experience scattered rains, with a Yellow Alert issued for these regions.

The weather office also stated that due to the rainfall, maximum temperatures in the affected regions will likely be 3 to 4 degrees lower than the usual average on April 2 and 3. Light to moderate rainfall is expected between April 1 and 3, with a decrease in rainfall anticipated on April 4. The districts of Adilabad, Nirmal, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Mahbubnagar, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal, and Vikarabad are expected to receive rainfall, accompanied by gusty winds in certain areas.
