Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has issued a rain forecast for Telangana for the next three days, attributing the weather change to a surface circulation over the Bay of Bengal. Light to moderate rainfall is expected across the state, with heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning likely in several districts. The weather department has issued red and orange alerts for Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Peddapalli, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts on Thursday, warning of winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kmph.

Rainfall is also expected on Friday in Janagaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, and Gadwal districts. On Saturday, showers are likely in Kumuram Bheem, Nirmal, Nizamabad, and Nagarkurnool. The Met Department noted that northern and eastern Telangana districts may witness intense rainfall, offering some relief to farmers affected by recent dry spells.
In Hyderabad, light to moderate rain is forecast for the next three days, with temperatures expected to remain below normal. Authorities have advised residents to stay indoors during thunderstorms, exercise caution during travel due to possible waterlogging, and take necessary safety measures, especially in low-lying areas.
