Telangana candidates selected for Group-2 government positions have received good news from the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC). The commission officially announced that appointment letters for successful candidates will be handed over on October 18. TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham stated that the letters will be presented by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad.
The preparations for distributing the appointment letters were reviewed by Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao. A total of 783 candidates have been selected across various departments, including Revenue, Commercial Taxes, Excise, Panchayati Raj, General Administration, and 16 other departments. Officials have been instructed to expedite the verification of candidates’ certificates to ensure a smooth distribution process.
The Group-2 examinations were conducted on December 15 and 16, 2024, with a total of 5.57 lakh candidates registering. Approximately half of the registered candidates appeared for the exams. The preliminary answer key for the written test was released on January 18. While one post remains unfilled, the provisional selection list for 782 posts was already declared.
Initially, the government aimed to issue appointment letters during Dasara, but the process was delayed due to the enforcement of the election code of conduct. With the official announcement now in place, the selected candidates will receive their letters on October 18, marking the next step in their government careers.
