The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) is set to release the results for Group-1, Group-2, and Group-3 exams in the coming days. The final results are expected to be announced by March 10. According to sources, the Group-1 mains general ranking list will be published in the first week of March, followed by the results for Group-2 and Group-3 in a phased manner. The commission aims to ensure that if a candidate qualifies for multiple posts, vacancies are allocated accordingly. A total of 2,734 posts were announced across the three groups, with 5,51,247 candidates appearing for the examinations.
Group-1 Results to be Released First
The Group-1 recruitment process has been closely monitored due to previous irregularities. To ensure transparency, TGPSC is taking additional precautions in publishing the results. In February 2024, the Congress government increased the total vacancies to 563, including 63 newly added posts. The preliminary examination was conducted on June 9 across 897 centers, with 3.02 lakh candidates appearing. Of these, 31,382 qualified for the mains exam, which was held from October 21 to 27. However, only 21,093 candidates attended all the papers, reducing the competition ratio from 1:50 to 1:37. The general ranking list will be released in early March, and shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate verification in a 1:2 ratio.
Group-2 Examination Sees 46% Attendance
The Group-2 exams were conducted on December 15 and 16, 2024, across 1,358 centers. Out of the 5,51,855 registered candidates, only 2,57,981 (46%) appeared for the examination. With 783 vacancies available, the competition stands at 329 candidates per post.
Group-3 Examination Witnesses 1:196 Competition Ratio
The Group-3 exams, held in November 2024, saw 2,72,173 candidates appearing out of 6,15,503 registered applicants. With 1,388 posts available, the competition ratio stands at 196 candidates per post.
To streamline the recruitment process, TGPSC plans to release the Group-1 results first, followed by Group-2 and Group-3 results, ensuring a smooth allocation of vacancies.
