Telangana’s political tensions escalated as Minister Ponguleti Srinivas made sensational comments about the possibility of KTR’s arrest. He asserted that KTR would soon be taken into custody and stated unequivocally that the law would follow its course.
Ponguleti addressed the ongoing e-car racing investigation, saying, “The Governor has given permission for the probe. The Governor’s approval will be sent to the Chief Secretary, who will forward it to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). The investigation will proceed as per legal norms.” He also mentioned that discussions about the Governor’s approval were part of cabinet deliberations. A comprehensive investigation into embezzlement during the Formula E race has already been conducted. Ponguleti reiterated that “the law will handle the arrest of KTR according to established procedures.”
BRS Leaders Disrupt Assembly Proceedings
Recently, BRS leaders made accusations about disruptive activities, prompting Ponguleti to question why protests were taking place around Delhi if these disturbances were minor. In the Telangana Assembly, BRS legislators obstructed proceedings by using placards and slogans, citing a lack of pressing matters to address.
During these disruptions, Ponguleti announced the introduction of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) Bill. He reassured the public that “there will be no vendetta-driven actions under Indiramma’s governance and corruption will be exposed before the people.”
