Hyderabad: A young man from Jagityal district, Telangana, has died by suicide in Bahrain, shocking his family and community. Kalyan (26), son of Anumalla Shankar and Lavanya from Taka Street, had gone to Bahrain ten months ago to work and financially support his family. He joined a car workshop but later paid an agent for assistance in securing a working visa for a better-paying job.
On Tuesday, Kalyan celebrated his birthday in his room and even spoke with his family via video call. Tragically, later that night, he ended his life. Co-workers discovered the incident, and his family learned of it the following morning, leaving them devastated.
The family has requested the government to bring Kalyan’s body back to India. While the exact reasons for his suicide remain unclear, they allege that he was deceived by an agent who promised a new job but failed to deliver due to visa processing issues. Further details about the case are awaited.
