The Telangana High Court has provided relief to anchor Syamala in the betting apps case. She had filed a petition seeking the quashing of the FIR registered against her. During the hearing, the court directed the police not to proceed with her arrest and instructed her to cooperate with the investigation. Syamala has been ordered to appear before the police for questioning starting Monday.

The Panjagutta police had registered cases against Syamala and several social media influencers for allegedly promoting betting apps. Influencers Vishnupriya and Ritu Chowdhary have already appeared for questioning, while Syamala approached the High Court instead of complying with the summons.
Meanwhile, the Telangana government has intensified its crackdown on betting-related activities, particularly cases linked to suicides. Officials have identified at least 25 suicide cases this year associated with betting losses. Law enforcement agencies are actively investigating and working to identify the platforms involved.
