Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has dismissed the 2011 Rail Roko case against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), providing him significant relief.
The case was linked to the Telangana agitation, during which a Rail Roko protest was staged at Secunderabad railway station on August 15, 2011. Based on statements from those arrested, railway police had named KCR as the 13th accused. Subsequently, a charge sheet was filed in the Special Court for Public Representatives.

KCR moved the High Court, seeking the case’s dismissal, arguing that he was not present at the protest site. His legal counsel emphasized this point, while the prosecution maintained that the demonstration was held in response to his call.
After hearing both sides, the court ruled in KCR’s favor, dismissing the case and putting an end to the long-pending legal proceedings.
