The process of identifying eligible beneficiaries for Indiramma Housing is ongoing, with reports indicating that 4.5 lakh people will be selected in the first phase. Once the final list of beneficiaries is confirmed by the in-charge ministers, funds will be deposited into the selected individuals’ accounts, with Rs 1 lakh expected to be credited to each beneficiary in the first phase. An official announcement from the Telangana government is awaited regarding the matter. The government has reiterated that the selection process for both Indiramma Housing and ration cards is continuous.

Applications for Indiramma Housing have been categorized based on app surveys and family surveys. In this classification, 21.93 lakh applications have been included in L-1, 19.96 lakh in L-2, and 33.87 lakh in L-3. The GHMC is yet to review 2.43 lakh applications. In the first phase, 71,482 beneficiaries were selected from 562 villages.
In another development, the Election Commission has responded to rumors regarding the suspension of new ration card issuance in the state. It clarified that no orders have been issued to halt the distribution of new ration cards and that no restrictions have been placed on government instructions. The commission asserted that the reports circulating in the media were unfounded.

Additionally, the Telangana Civil Supplies Department has clarified the status of ration card applications via Meeseva. It confirmed that new ration card applications were not accepted through Meeseva and that no orders have been issued regarding such applications. Meeseva was instructed to process only the applications already submitted in the public administration system, while any changes or corrections are being handled through the platform.
