The report, compiled by a three-member committee, suggests increases in prices for branded liquors, branded beers, and budget liquors. The committee has proposed a price hike of up to 15% for premium brands and beers, while budget liquors may experience a smaller increase.
Excise officials have reportedly been in discussions at the Secretariat over the past few days regarding the proposed price changes. The state government is expected to make a final decision in the coming days.
