Hyderabad ; The Telangana government has issued orders extending the deadline for the Kaleswaram Commission’s inquiry. The Principal Secretary of the Irrigation Department, Rahul Bojja, announced that the commission’s investigation period has been extended until October 31.
The commission, led by former Supreme Court judge Justice P. C. Ghose, was appointed to investigate leaks in the Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla barrages. Initially, the commission was tasked with completing its investigation within 100 days and submitting a report by June. However, the process was delayed due to the Lok Sabha elections. The inquiry deadline was previously extended until August 31, but with that period now concluded, the government has issued a new order to extend the deadline for the report submission until October 31.
