Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has announced financial assistance for families affected by lightning strikes and fire accidents over the past five years. The state government will provide Rs 6 lakh compensation to families of lightning strike victims and Rs 1 lakh to those affected by fire accidents. He directed disaster management officials to ensure timely disbursement of these funds.
During a review meeting at the Secretariat on March 28, Minister Ponguleti issued key directives to district collectors regarding the two-bedroom housing scheme. He instructed officials to allocate houses to eligible beneficiaries without homes and expedite the completion of unfinished houses. Additionally, he directed the distribution of previously unallocated houses to deserving applicants.

As part of the initiative, the minister ordered the release of Rs 1 lakh as the first installment for beneficiaries who have completed construction up to the basement level.
He also set a June-end deadline for the completion of the Warangal Super Specialty Hospital and instructed officials to implement a permanent solution for waste management at the Madikonda dumping yard.
