Telangana faces heavy rains; yellow alert issued

Telangana is currently experiencing significant rainfall, with districts including Nagar Kurnool, Nalgonda, Wanaparthy, Gadwal, Sangareddy, Medak, Nizamabad, Nirmal, and Ranga Reddy facing thunderstorms and downpours. The Meteorological Department forecasts that these heavy rains, accompanied by strong winds, are likely to persist for the next three days.

A yellow alert has been issued for several districts, including Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, and Kamareddy, with heavy rainfall expected tonight.

In Hyderabad, areas such as Miyapur, Lingampally, Shaikpet, Mehdipatnam, Kukatpally, Kondapur, Madhapur, Rajendranagar, Tolichowki, and Nizampet have already experienced strong winds and heavy rains. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning urging the public to remain indoors and avoid going outside during this inclement weather.
