Hyderabad: The Telangana state government will convene a Cabinet meeting on June 5 to discuss critical administrative and developmental issues. The decision was taken following a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy with his Cabinet colleagues at the Integrated Command and Control Centre on Sunday.
During the preparatory meeting, ministers submitted detailed reports on arrangements for State Formation Day celebrations, the implementation of the Indiramma housing scheme, ongoing revenue conferences, monsoon crop readiness, and the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam initiative.
Ministers, who conducted district-level reviews on May 29 and 30, presented feedback from their interactions with officials. The reports covered finalized beneficiary lists for the Indiramma housing scheme, logistical arrangements for revenue conferences, and preparations for the upcoming Kharif season.
Significant attention was given to the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, which has received a high volume of applications. Ministers raised concerns about complaints regarding ineligible applicants. It was decided that the beneficiary lists will be finalized only after comprehensive scrutiny. A final decision on the scheme’s implementation will be taken during the June 5 Cabinet session.
The ministers also commended Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy for effectively managing paddy procurement operations across the state.
Regarding employee welfare, a report submitted to Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka by the committee appointed to study staff-related issues will be reviewed in the Cabinet meeting. The government is expected to outline a strategy for resolving key employee grievances based on the committee’s recommendations.
