Amaravati: A helicopter commonly used by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu developed a technical snag on Sunday, causing concern among officials. The same helicopter had been assigned to Union Minister Piyush Goyal for his scheduled visit from Tirupati to Krishnapatnam Port.
However, a technical issue surfaced shortly after Goyal boarded the aircraft, prompting immediate cancellation of the trip. The incident shocked accompanying officials and raised questions about the helicopter’s safety.
Taking the matter seriously, the Director General of Police has directed the Intelligence Chief to submit a detailed report on both technical and security aspects of the helicopter. Authorities are now evaluating whether the aircraft is safe for further VIP travel.
