Amaravati: TDP’s Kadapa MLA R Madhavi Reddy criticized former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for his appeal to the Speaker seeking opposition status, calling it shameful. She addressed the media at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri, stating that opposition status is granted only if a party holds at least one-tenth of the total assembly seats, which the YSRCP does not meet.

MLA Madhavi Reddy highlighted Jagan’s past statements about the TDP losing its opposition status if six MLAs were removed, questioning his current stance. She rhetorically asked if Jagan would only attend the assembly if he were the Chief Minister, reminding him of his commitment to his Pulivendula constituency. She further urged YS Jagan to focus on constituency issues rather than pursuing illusions of power. She also noted the absence of YSRCP MLAs during the Speaker’s election.
