New Delhi: The election for the Speaker of the Lok Sabha is set to take place tomorrow, June 26. With a less possibility of a unanimous election, NDA partners have been mandated to attend and support the candidate.

In light of this, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has issued a three-line whip to its 16 MPs. TDP Chief Whip G.M. Harish Balayogi has clearly stated that all TDP MPs must be present in the Lok Sabha at 11 AM to cast their votes for the NDA’s Speaker candidate.

Ahead of the election, TDP MPs will convene in New Delhi at 9:30 AM under the chairmanship of TDP Lok Sabha Party Leader MP Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu. During this meeting, MPs will be briefed on the voting procedure for the Speaker’s election. Following the meeting, all TDP MPs will proceed to Parliament to participate in the election.
