Arvind Kejriwal was arrested following a statement by TDP MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, accused of fabricating evidence to protect his son Raghava. Kejriwal’s wife Sunita alleged the MP’s statement was false, claiming it aimed to shield his son, who was arrested later. According to Sunita, the MP falsely implicated Kejriwal in a bribery case involving Rs 100 crore for the Aam Aadmi Party. She criticized her husband’s arrest as unjust and called on Delhi residents to support him, warning that such incidents could deter educated individuals from entering politics in the future.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal remains in judicial custody until July 12, detained by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and facing investigation for alleged money laundering, as per reports from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and CBI petitions.
