The BRS party is facing a wave of defections, raising questions about the future allegiance of several MLAs. In response, Chief Minister KCR held a meeting of the BRS Legislative Party (BRSLP) ahead of the assembly session, attended by only five BRS MLAs. Notably absent were Zaheerabad MLA Manik Rao, Dubbaka MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Uppal MLA Bandaru Lakshma Reddy, Secunderabad MLAs Teegulla Padma Rao Goud and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, and Alampur MLA Vijayudu.
MLC Challa Venkatarami Reddy also missed the meeting, fueling speculation about possible shifts in allegiance. Bandaru Lakshma Reddy is reportedly in Japan, which explains his absence. Meanwhile, there is growing conjecture that MLC Challa Venkatarami Reddy might be preparing to join the Congress party.
