Hyderabad: Prominent Telangana singer Madhu Priya has landed in controversy after filming a private song at the Kaleshwar Mukteshwar Temple in Jayashankar Bhupalapalli district. The shoot has drawn sharp criticism from devotees, as photography and videography are strictly prohibited at most temples, including Kaleshwar Mukteshwar.
Reports indicate that Madhu Priya and her team allegedly filmed the song inside the temple’s sanctum sanctorum, sparking outrage among devotees. They are questioning how the singer was allowed access to the sacred area despite the temple’s ban on photos and videos.
While some claim the Telangana State Endowments Department granted permission for the shoot, others suggest that local temple staff may have been persuaded to allow the filming. Devotees have expressed their displeasure, pointing out the inconsistency in enforcing temple regulations.
