The incident occurred near Rentapalla village, where the elderly man allegedly came under the wheels of a vehicle in the convoy, identified as a Tata Safari bearing registration number AP 26 CE 0001. Despite locals reportedly shouting that the man had fallen under the vehicle, it continued to move forward, leading to his death.

Guntur District SP Satish Kumar has stated that the police are prepared to take appropriate action if the family of the deceased lodges a formal complaint. The video shows that the victim, Singayya, was caught in the commotion as YSRCP supporters surged forward towards Jagan’s car. The incident has sparked widespread criticism, with many demanding accountability and a thorough investigation.
