The newly formed Congress government in Telangana is working with a focus on the state’s development, actively seeking to attract investments. As part of this initiative, Congress leaders have been visiting various countries to bring new companies to the state. Numerous national and international companies have already invested in Telangana, and several others are preparing to do so.

Recently, the Korean company Shoealls, a leader in medical and smart shoe production, expressed interest in setting up operations in Telangana. This investment is expected to generate thousands of job opportunities in the state.

87,000 Jobs on the Horizon
Shoealls Chairman Cheong Lee, along with company representatives, met Telangana IT Minister Sridhar Babu, requesting 750 acres to establish a smart shoe manufacturing facility with an investment of Rs 300 crore. This facility is projected to create around 87,000 jobs. They also discussed the proposal for a Giga Factory with the minister.

The company’s representative explained, “Our smart shoes, featuring medical chips in the soles, can generate 25 watts of electricity per hour for every 10,000 steps taken. These shoes are particularly beneficial for individuals with diabetes and arthritis.” Minister Sridhar Babu responded positively to the proposal.

The government intends to make Telangana a hub for the production and global distribution of these innovative shoes, positioning the state as a key player in the international market.
