Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are experiencing a sharp drop in temperatures, with the Meteorological Department warning of severe cold over the next two to three days. Single-digit temperatures are expected in several districts, and strong chilly winds from the east and northeast are intensifying the cold. While daytime weather remains slightly sunny, evenings and nights are significantly colder, causing discomfort to residents.

Dense morning fog across many areas is further affecting daily routines, making it difficult for people to carry out their work. The Meteorological Department highlighted that temperatures are falling well below normal levels, with nights being particularly harsh in rural and agency regions, leading to increased hardship among locals.

Districts such as Hyderabad, Adilabad, Medak, Warangal, Karimnagar, Kamareddy, Vinukonda, Khammam, and Komaram Bheem Asifabad are experiencing the brunt of the cold. Kohir in Sangareddy recorded a minimum temperature of 6.4°C. Authorities have issued yellow alerts in these districts, urging residents to take necessary precautions to protect against the extreme cold.
