Hyderabad: A phone call recording of former BJP MLA Raja Singh, who recently resigned from the party, has gone viral, stirring fresh political debate. In the audio clip, a party worker from Bhongir is heard urging Raja Singh to reconsider his decision and stay with the BJP. In response, Singh says he is waiting for a decision from the party high command, while expressing frustration that “three individuals are destroying the party.”
Raja Singh had visited the BJP office two days ago after learning that Ramchander Rao was set to be nominated as the new Telangana BJP president. Accusing the party of deliberately preventing his own nomination, Singh announced his resignation from the party and handed over his MLA resignation letter to Union Minister Kishan Reddy.

The development has turned into a political storm within the BJP and Telangana politics at large, with speculation now linking Raja Singh to a possible move towards the Shiv Sena. However, the BJP high command and key party leaders have so far remained silent on the matter.
BJP’s Silence a Calculated Move?
Sources indicate that the BJP leadership may be strategically delaying any action on Raja Singh’s resignation until after the Jubilee Hills by-election. Accepting his resignation now, they fear, could trigger a wave of criticism against the party. There is also concern that the controversy could negatively impact the party’s prospects in upcoming local body elections.
