Bihar: Political strategist Prashant Kishor has issued a strong warning to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Kishor stated that if Tejashwi contests from his traditional constituency of Raghunathpur, he could face a setback similar to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s defeat in Amethi in 2019. Kishor emphasized that if he fields a Jan Suraj candidate from Raghunathpur, Tejashwi might be compelled to contest from two seats, heightening the electoral challenge.
#BiharElections2025 | Taking the battle to the enemy's camp, Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor hit the campaign trail from Raghopur, the home turf of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, whom he vowed to trounce like "Rahul Gandhi's defeat from Amethi".

Kishor recalled Rahul Gandhi’s loss in Amethi—a constituency held by Congress for decades—where BJP candidate Smriti Irani emerged victorious. Drawing a parallel, he noted that Raghunathpur is a traditional stronghold of the Yadav family, represented previously by Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi. Kishor suggested that even in this bastion, Tejashwi could face a major challenge, signaling a potentially tough fight for the RJD leader.
Kishor further criticized Tejashwi, alleging that despite being elected twice by Raghunathpur voters, basic infrastructure in the constituency remains inadequate. “The people are struggling, yet Tejashwi does not seem to care. That is why he is apprehensive. I am visiting Raghunathpur to understand public sentiment and the desire to end one-family dominance,” Kishor said. The remarks underline the strategic and political challenges Tejashwi Yadav faces in Bihar’s upcoming elections.
