Jan Suraj Party chief Prashant Kishor has alleged irregularities in the recent Bihar Assembly elections, claiming that rigging may have occurred, though he admitted that he does not have evidence to substantiate the claims. He made the remarks during a media interview following the NDA alliance’s electoral victory.

Kishor expressed disappointment over his party’s performance, noting that despite contesting 238 out of 243 seats, the Jan Suraj Party failed to win a single seat. He highlighted discrepancies between the public opinion his team collected during the elections and the final results, suggesting that something went wrong. Kishor also pointed out that even relatively unknown parties received significant vote shares.

While some have urged him to allege EVM tampering, Kishor clarified that he has no proof to support such claims. He also criticized the state government over the deposit of ₹10,000 for women after the election schedule was announced and dismissed speculation that his political career is over. Taking full responsibility for the party’s defeat, Kishor acknowledged the need to reflect on the outcome.
