Hyderabad: Police have uncovered a large-scale terror plot aimed at creating chaos across major cities in India. The recent car-bomb blast in Delhi is seen as part of the plan, while the discovery of large quantities of explosive material in Faridabad indicated preparations for additional attacks. Similar threats were reportedly identified in Hyderabad.

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested Dr. Syed Ahmad Mohiyuddin, a Hyderabad-based physician, for allegedly planning mass poisonings using the deadly ricin toxin. Police investigations revealed that Dr. Syed, a resident of Rajendra Nagar’s Fort View Colony who studied MBBS in China and later worked as an online consultant, established contacts with terrorist handlers and received instructions from Pakistan-based operatives. He is accused of attempting to extract ricin from castor seeds to contaminate water supplies and offerings at religious sites, potentially causing thousands of deaths.

In a related development, Jammu & Kashmir police arrested eight individuals linked to banned terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind following the Delhi blast. Among the detainees, three are doctors, from whom explosive-related materials were recovered. In Faridabad, authorities seized approximately 3,000 kilograms of explosives, including ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate, and sulfur.
