Police have arrested 10 YSRCP leaders in connection with the attack on the TDP office. According to the sources, the arrests were made at the Gannavaram office, with those taken into custody including Dokku Sambasiva Venkanna, Padamata Nagaraju, Nagesh, Mulpuri Prabhukanth, and six others.
Additionally, Durga Rao, the driver of former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, has also been apprehended. Based on CCTV footage, a search has been launched for the remaining suspects, and Vallabhaneni Vamsi himself is also likely to face arrest.
The attack on the TDP headquarters in Tadepalli occurred on October 19, 2021, when mobs armed with sticks and stones assaulted the premises, causing a sensation at the time. The recent arrests come in the wake of the TDP alliance’s victory in the recent elections and their government formation, prompting a review and action on old cases, including the TDP office attack.
