Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Hyderabad as part of his Telangana tour and inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for six major development projects worth ₹9,377 crore at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). The projects span key sectors including infrastructure, industry, and transport, and aim to boost regional economic growth.
The initiatives include the Hyderabad–Panaji Economic Corridor, the 80-km four-lane Gadwal–Mahbubnagar road project, Zaheerabad Industrial City, Kazipet–Vijayawada multi-tracking railway line, Malkapur Greenfield Petroleum Terminal, and the PM MITRA textile park in Warangal. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also attended the event.

The Prime Minister also underlined the Centre’s focus on improving connectivity across India through enhanced road, rail, and airport infrastructure. He noted that national highway development in Telangana has doubled and highlighted increased railway allocations, including the introduction of five Vande Bharat Express trains and six Amrit Bharat Express services for the state.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, speaking on the occasion, said Telangana contributes 3% to India’s population but nearly 5% to the national GDP. He described the programme as a “development festival” and set an ambitious goal of making Telangana a $1 trillion economy by 2034, while contributing $3 trillion to India’s $30 trillion target by 2047. He also urged the Prime Minister to address pending infrastructure projects in the state and seek stronger central support for Telangana’s continued development.
