PM Modi Expresses Concern Over Former Bangladesh PM’s Critical Health

New Delhi/Dhaka: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed serious concern over the health of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and affirmed that India is ready to provide all possible assistance for her medical care. Modi also wished her a speedy recovery, acknowledging her significant contributions to the people of Bangladesh, in a post on social media platform X.

The 80-year-old BNP chairperson was admitted to a private hospital on November 23 due to a chest infection. After four days, her condition deteriorated, and she was moved to the Coronary Care Unit. She is currently on ventilation, BNP vice-chairman Advocate Ahmed Azam Khan said, describing her condition as critical and appealing for prayers from the nation.

Khaleda Zia is receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, with both local and international medical experts closely monitoring her condition. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alangir said the nation is praying for her recovery, noting that doctors are fully engaged in her care and making every possible effort to stabilize her health
