Pithapuram: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s comments during his visit to Pithapuram on Thursday triggered a political controversy. Addressing a gathering, Pawan stated that he had envisioned continuing his political alliance for 15 years but alleged that officials were not extending the required support. “This can only be achieved with the cooperation of officials,” he remarked.
Taking a tough stance on law and order, he warned that the honeymoon period for officials is over. “If there are any theatrics in the name of law and order, I won’t hesitate to take stern action,” he said. He further clarified that criminals have no caste and asserted that he would remain strict in dealing with law enforcement issues.

The Deputy CM also revisited the recent Tirupati stampede incident, stating that apologies are necessary from the TTD leadership. He demanded that TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, EO Shyamala Rao, Additional EO Venkayya Chowdary, and board members offer a public apology. “I have apologized for the incident. Why should officials feel ashamed to do the same?” he questioned. He expressed concern that due to the negligence of officials, people are unable to celebrate festivals with joy.

During his visit, Pawan inaugurated a mini Gokulam shed in Kumarapuram village as part of the government’s initiative to promote cattle shelters across the state. He also launched 12,500 mini Gokulam sheds constructed in various parts of Andhra Pradesh.
Criticizing the previous government, Pawan alleged that they brought Amul into the state, resulting in the downfall of government dairy units. He also issued a strong warning against harassment of women, stating, “Harassing women is not a sign of masculinity. If anyone engages in such acts, they will be dealt with strictly.”
