Patancheru BRS MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning today at their office in Basheerbagh. After recording his statement, Mahipal Reddy left the ED office. The MLA reportedly informed officials that he would comply if summoned again for further questioning.
Recently, ED officials conducted searches at Mahipal Reddy’s residence, spanning a total of two days. During these raids, the officials reported uncovering corruption amounting to Rs 300 crore. The ED has registered a case alleging irregularities in mining and accused the MLA of evading Rs 39 crore in taxes.
Following the ED raids, Mahipal Reddy appeared in Delhi, sparking significant discussion as he did not attend an emergency meeting with KCR’s MLAs and key leaders.
