Hyderabad: BRS leader and former Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy has accused the Congress government in Telangana of weakening the education sector. Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, she questioned the rationale behind showcasing the Young India Integrated Schools as a symbol of educational reform.
“The government must clearly explain the objective behind the Young India Integrated Schools,” she demanded, pressing for clarity on whether the syllabus would remain the same or be revised. Sabitha highlighted the success of students from Gurukuls established by former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, stating that even Chief Minister Revanth Reddy acknowledged their achievements — a gesture for which she thanked him.

She also raised concerns over the revised cost estimates for constructing Young India Schools, questioning why the budget had jumped from ₹85 crore to ₹200 crore.
On a separate note, when asked about the issue concerning BRS MLC K. Kavitha, Sabitha Indra Reddy said the party would respond appropriately at the right time. She criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that he mentions KCR’s name in every meeting, likening it to a daily ritual. She also questioned the Congress government’s failure to deliver on its job promise made before coming to power.
