New Delhi: The Monsoon Session of Parliament commenced today, but proceedings in the Lok Sabha were repeatedly disrupted as the Opposition demanded a debate on the alleged ‘Operation Sindoor’. The Lower House was adjourned three times on the opening day due to the uproar. Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha took up legislative business and passed the Bills of Lading Bill, 2024.
The session will continue until August 21, spanning a total of 21 working days. According to government sources, the Centre is expected to introduce 15 key bills during this period.
