Indian athletes have set a new milestone at the Paris Olympics. The men’s doubles pair of Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have advanced to the quarter-finals, becoming the first Indian doubles team to achieve this feat at the Olympics.
Their quarter-final match against Germany’s Marc-Mervyn was cancelled as Marc-Mervyn was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to a knee injury. Consequently, Satwik and Chirag secured their spot in the quarter-finals after a previous loss to the French duo of Labar-Corvey, who were defeated by the Indonesian pair of Ardianto-Alpien in Group C.
