Islamabad: In a clear show of force amid escalating tensions with India, Pakistan on Thursday conducted extensive military drills near the Line of Control (LoC), signaling its preparedness for potential conflict.
Pakistan’s armed forces deployed advanced radar systems, air defence networks, and Chinese-made howitzers along strategic border points. According to defence officials, radar and air force weapon systems were positioned opposite India’s Longewala sector in Rajasthan’s Barmer district.
Simultaneously, Pakistan imposed flight restrictions over key air routes including Lahore and Karachi, while military helicopters conducted low-altitude patrols along the LoC. The Pakistan Air Force also launched three simultaneous large-scale aerial exercises named Fiza-e-Badr, Lalkar-e-Momin, and Zarb-e-Haidari.

These high-intensity drills involve F-16s, J-10s, and JF-17 fighter jets, underlining Islamabad’s military readiness. The coordinated mobilization is seen as a response to increasing regional tensions following recent security incidents in Jammu and Kashmir.
The exercises, viewed as a strategic signal to New Delhi, come at a time when both nations are on high alert. Defence analysts warn that such escalations could destabilize regional peace if not contained through diplomatic engagement.
