Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, currently visiting the United States, issued strong nuclear threats against India during a black-tie event in Tampa, Florida. Munir warned that if Pakistan’s existence is perceived to be under threat by India, the country is prepared to use its nuclear arsenal, which could potentially destroy half the world. He also raised concerns over India’s construction of dams on the Indus River, threatening to destroy them with missiles once completed. Munir emphasized that the Indus River does not belong to any Indian family and asserted Pakistan has ample missile capability.

During his U.S. visit, Munir met with senior American military and political officials, including attending the retirement ceremony of U.S. Central Command Commander General Michael Kurilla, whom he praised for strengthening military ties between the two countries. He also held talks with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Dan Khen regarding enhanced defense cooperation and extended an invitation to visit Pakistan.

This marks Munir’s second U.S. visit in two months, following his June meeting with former President Donald Trump, which resulted in several cooperation agreements. Additionally, Pakistan is working to improve relations with Bangladesh, supported by the interim government led by Yunus.
