Tensions between India and Pakistan have intensified following the recent Pahalgam terror attack, with former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif urging current Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to prioritize diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis. Sharif emphasized the need to avoid war and seek peaceful solutions through all available diplomatic channels.
In contrast, Pakistani officials have taken a more aggressive stance. Minister Hanif Abbasi issued a stark warning, stating that Pakistan has 130 nuclear bombs ready for potential use against India. Additionally, Pakistan’s Army Chief, Asim Munir, made controversial remarks about the ideological differences between Hindus and Muslims, further inflaming tensions.

Former Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also made inflammatory comments, asserting that if water does not flow through the Sindh River, “blood will flow” instead, underscoring Pakistan’s claim to the river and its civilization.
Amid these heightened tensions, Nawaz Sharif’s call for diplomatic intervention has raised hopes for a peaceful resolution.
