Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu revealed that his son initially entered politics with the intention of serving the public but has since found his calling in business. In an interview with India Today and Bloomberg during his Davos visit, Chandrababu clarified that his son is content in the business domain and reiterated that there is no political legacy to uphold.

“Whether it’s politics, business, or cinema, success depends on seizing opportunities. Circumstances only create chances,” he said, adding, “I have never relied on politics for my livelihood. I started a business 33 years ago, and it continues to flourish.”
Focus on Governance, Not Vendetta Politics
Addressing questions about his imprisonment during the YSR Congress Party regime, Chandrababu denied any plans for political vendetta. He emphasized, “I have no intention of retaliating against them for troubling me. However, there was widespread corruption during the YSRCP government, which we will investigate. Legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty of wrongdoing.”
Chandrababu dismissed the need for filing new cases against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating, “The cases against him have been ongoing for a long time.”

Modi Will Lead for a Fourth Term
The Chief Minister expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi securing a fourth consecutive term, citing the stability and progress his leadership ensures. “A stable government under Modi is crucial for sustained development,” he remarked. He also denied aspirations for a central ministerial position, stating, “I have no plans to join the Union Cabinet.”
Commitment to Values and Reconstruction
Highlighting the importance of ethics in personal life and politics, Chandrababu remarked, “India’s global recognition is rooted in the values we uphold.”
When asked about the possibility of Jagan Mohan Reddy returning to power, Chandrababu responded, “People can be misled once, but not repeatedly.” He accused the previous government of causing extensive damage to Andhra Pradesh and emphasized the current administration’s focus on rebuilding.
“Our coalition government is dedicated to reconstructing Andhra Pradesh, and we are receiving substantial support from the central government in this mission,” he concluded.
