New Delhi: A series of earthquakes recorded across various regions in India on Tuesday has raised concerns among experts and the public, especially in the wake of recent seismic activity in Japan. According to the National Center for Seismology, three earthquakes were reported in a single day in Assam, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

Assam experienced a 4.1 magnitude earthquake, with the epicenter located at a depth of 25 kilometers. A 3.2 magnitude tremor was recorded in Uttarakhand, while West Bengal reported a 2.5 magnitude quake. Additionally, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have witnessed multiple low-intensity earthquakes over the past few days.

In total, nine seismic events have been reported across different regions of the country in the last three days. While no major damage has been reported, the frequency of tremors has prompted geological assessments.

The rise in earthquake activity has also reignited public speculation, with some attributing the phenomenon to the long-predicted global upheavals by Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga. However, experts have dismissed such claims, stating that the tremors are consistent with natural tectonic movements and localized geological conditions.
