Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has announced that the policies adopted for the loan waiver in 2018 are now being implemented. He clarified that the ration card is being used solely to determine the family unit for the loan waiver process. “The government has all the details,” he stated, ensuring that once the family is confirmed, the loan waiver will be applicable to all its members.
He expressed satisfaction that within six months of coming to power, the government is waiving loans of up to Rs 2 lakh in one go. He also addressed criticisms, calling it regrettable that attempts are being made to discredit the government’s efforts.
