Minister Seethakka has strongly criticized BRS leaders for making remarks against the opposition while failing to deliver promised benefits to the poor during their time in power. She pointed out that, despite being in power, BRS leaders had neglected the underprivileged sections of society, while Congress, through the Indiramma Aatmiyabharosa scheme, is providing financial aid to eligible families.

“Harish Rao’s current demands are contradictory, as Indiramma Aatmiyabharosa has already been empowering families in need,” Seethakka stated, questioning why certain political elements are trying to spread misinformation about the welfare initiative. She highlighted that the scheme is designed to provide Rs. 12,000 annually to landless labor families and that Telangana’s model of unemployment relief is gaining national attention.

Seethakka further criticized the BRS for its inability to address the needs of workers over the last decade, only now pretending to support them. She also took issue with the party’s provision of financial benefits to those with significant property holdings while ignoring the plight of landless workers.

“The Congress manifesto clearly committed to providing Rs. 12,000 annually to landless agricultural labor families, and we are fulfilling that commitment with the Indiramma Aatmiyabharosa scheme,” she added. Seethakka assured that all eligible families will receive financial support, irrespective of political affiliations.

According to Seethakka, while Telangana has 48.13 lakh job cards under MGNREGA, only families engaged in manual labor are considered employment beneficiaries. She revealed that out of these, 25.5 lakh families participated in at least one day of employment, and 17.26 lakh families worked for a minimum of 20 days, making them eligible for Indiramma Aatmiyabharosa.
