Hyderabad: Minister Konda Surekha ruled out an imminent Cabinet expansion, stating that even if it takes place, it remains uncertain whether positions will be allotted from the Legislative Council. She pointed out that the Council already comprises several senior leaders.
In a sharp attack on BRS Working President KTR, Surekha alleged that phone tapping to gather confidential information is his primary focus. She also took a dig at him, sarcastically stating that no one understands self-driving better than KTR.
### BJP Accused of Creating Controversy; Call for Unified Temple Tourism Strategy
Surekha criticized BJP leaders for making controversial statements. She stressed the need for a unified approach to temple tourism, urging the integration of Archaeology, Endowments, Tourism, and Forest Departments to ensure effective temple development. She added that revamping ancient temples is not possible without the central government’s support and revealed that she receives daily requests for temple restoration projects.
She also highlighted legislative efforts, stating that the Yadagirigutta temple board has been restructured along the lines of TTD, ensuring autonomous authority similar to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Additionally, she clarified that there is no objection to naming central government institutions after Potti Sriramulu.
