Meta has removed the social media accounts of BJP leader and Goshamahal MLA Rajasingh amid growing concerns over his inflammatory posts. According to reports, Meta deleted two Facebook pages and three Instagram accounts linked to Rajasingh, whose remarks on social media have repeatedly stirred controversy.
Rajasingh is known for delivering provocative speeches at gatherings held in the names of Hindu temples and deities, and for posting content that expresses hostility towards other communities. His incendiary statements have resulted in multiple legal cases and disciplinary actions within the BJP, including a previous suspension. Despite these measures, Rajasingh continues to post videos and messages that criticize other religions, prompting further scrutiny from social media platforms.

A recent report by India Hate Lab (IHL) highlighted the spread of hate-filled rhetoric on social media. In response to the report, Meta acted within a week by deleting Rajasingh’s accounts. The removed Facebook groups collectively had over 1 million members, while his Instagram accounts boasted around 550,000 followers.
It is worth noting that in 2020, similar bans were imposed on Rajasingh’s Facebook and Instagram profiles. However, his supporters and party workers subsequently recreated new groups and pages to share his speeches and updates. Recent controversial posts, however, have once again prompted Meta to take decisive action.
