Hyderabad: BJP leader and Medak MP Raghunandan Rao received a threatening phone call on Monday, allegedly from a person claiming to be a Maoist from Madhya Pradesh. The caller, who introduced himself as a member of the People’s War group, warned that Rao would be killed by evening.

The call was received by Rao’s personal assistant while the MP was attending an event at a private school. Following the incident, Raghunandan Rao immediately lodged a complaint with the police.

Taking the threat seriously, Telangana DGP and Medak SP responded swiftly by enhancing security arrangements at the MP’s residence. The development has triggered widespread concern and has become a key topic of discussion in state political circles.
